Phoenix Geeks was contracted via Tech Data (as the managed services broker) to execute nationwide OnQ upgrade projects on behalf of Hilton Hotels. Our role covered server backup, replacement, and software reinstallations, as well as coordination of workstation upgrades across hotels ranging in size from 3 to 40 workstations.

The scope included:

Backing up all hotel operations and data.

Upgrading/replacing servers, reinstalling applications, and restoring data.

Running comprehensive functionality tests before cutover.

Leading teams to simultaneously upgrade and refresh workstations at every desk.

Handling cleanup (removal of old equipment and trash) within tight schedules.

Each job had to be completed in 8–12 hours, ensuring zero disruption to the hotel’s registration systems during peak business.
