McDonald's installed bluetooth powered table tents in their restaurants.  The point was to allow the staff to custom cook burgers and such for their guests, and then deliver the food the table.

The table tents were assigned to a 'zone' and then a screen on the wall told the employee where to go in the restaurant to locate the table tent.  This same system is used at Panera Bread and McDonald's.
